We at XLence understand the need for precise, error-free and appropriately phrased translated material in an ever growing global community and market. That is why we apply a strict quality assurance method to all of your projects, business or personal, academic or law, extensive or short.

In order to ensure that our  translations are excellent when they reach our customers, at XLence we guarantee that every document will be reviewed by a translator with a background matching the document subject matter. By using a second professional, we ensure that the optimum word, phrase, or style is used on every occasion. All translators involved in any step of a project are select professionals chosen for their skill and the consistency of their work quality.

We are well aware that wrong or poor translation can cause many issues: complaints, reduction of sales, projection of wrong image and others serious detriments. Omissions, inconsistent terminology or inaccuracy are the most common translation problems. To avoid them, we have established a strict system of validation procedures. Quality Assurance procedures can be further expanded or reduced depending on the needs of each individual case still, there is a minimum level of control maintained throughout the stages of a translation project.

While checking a document, specific attention is paid to:

  • Accuracy: omissions, additions, cross-references, headers/footers
  • Consistency: same terms used throughout the document
  • Terminology: glossary, adherence, context
  • Language: grammar, meaning, punctuation, spelling
  • Style: general style, register/tone, language standards
  • Country: country standards, local suitability

The main standards we follow at Metafraseis XLence are:

  • ISO 2384:1997 Documentation – Presentation of Translations
  • EN-15038 European Quality Standard for Translation Services

To apply specific level of quality assurance our agency developed and uses Quality assurance policy and procedures.  Please contact us if you would like to receive them.
